Nike Release Dates 2015: Zoom City Collection - Kobe 10, KD7, Kyrie 1 & LeBron 12

Fans of Nike's basketball shoes sure have another thing to be excited about. The global sports brand has recently announced its new "Zoom City" shoe collection that would feature four of Nike's signature shoe collaborations with some of NBA's brightest stars.

According to Sneaker News, the newly unveiled "Zoom City" collection would feature the Zoom HyperRev 2015, Kobe 10, KD 7, Kyrie 1, and the LeBron 12.

The shoe designs and colors were inspired by New York City's five boroughs, said Nike on its website. One would be reminded of the tall and chic architecture and skyline of the famous city when looking at the sneakers.

LeBron's 12th collab sneaker with Nike, the LeBron 12, is a tribute to New York's Flatiron Building. The architecture of the structure found at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Broadway inspired the shoe's geometrical angles, which are obvious from the shoe's front and even its inner lining.

The LeBron 12 "Zoom City" colorway features a white base with black and green accents with a multicolor sole. The shoe would be sold at $220 a pair.

Kobe Bryant's 10th signature shoe with Nike was redesigned for the "Zoom City" collection to pay homage to the 1964 New York World's Fair. The said event in the 60s attracted a lot of people globally to witness exhibits that shape the future. According to Nike, the combination of technology used in the Kobe 10 is the event's representation.

Nike's Kobe 10 features a hybrid cushioning perfect for the player's step on the court and a dynamic traction that prevents it from slipping. The "Zoom City" colorway combines platinum with black and orange accents and would be sold at $200 a pair.

Kevin Durant's seventh shoe collaboration with Nike took its "Zoom City" colorway inspiration from the famous Brooklyn Bridge. The 1883 structure was famous for its steel-wire suspensions that give it stability and beauty.

It is with these steel-wire suspension cables that defined the design of the KD 7 "Zoom City." It boasts of a combination of Hyperposite heel and Zoom Air cushions.

The shoe is in platinum color with translucent blue and pink accents. The KD 7 "Zoom City" would sell at $170 a pair.

Kyrie Irving's first signature shoe partnership with Nike brings to its "Zoom City" colorway the idea of the City Hall Subway Station, which was completed in 1904. The subway was known for its speed, which Irving is also known for in the court.

The Kyrie 1 "Zoom City" would sell at $130 a pair for men's sizes.

All the shoes from the said collection would be available on February. KD 7 and Kobe 10 would hit retailers on Feb. 13 while the Kyrie 1 and LeBron 12 would be available on Feb. 14.

All shoes would be debuted on the upcoming NBA All-Star Weekend happening in New York City, said Pro Basketball Talk.
