Bobbi Kristina remains in a medically-induced coma for the third week. Following reports of injury marks found on her face, police have now launched an investigation on her longtime partner for suspected domestic violence.
According to In Touch, authorities in Georgia have begun a criminal investigation on her longtime partner and adopted brother, Nick Gordon. This was launched after cops learned of the marks on her face and mouth when she was discovered unconscious in the bathtub by her friend, Max Lomas.
TMZ reported that authorities are now looking closely at Gordon, as it seemed that the couple had a fight hours before the 21-year-old was discovered.
In his statement to the police who responded to the scene, Lomas said he arrived at the couple's place at around 9 AM on Saturday and asked for his friend but Gordon merely said that his girlfriend was still asleep. Lomas waited for Bobbi Kristina to wake up and only proceeded to the bedroom when the cable guy arrived at 10 AM and asked for access to the television.
He found her unconscious and immediately called for help. He also administered CPR as Gordon was not knowledgeable in the said first aid treatment.
Lomas told police that he suspected Gordon to have been busy cleaning up evidence while he was waiting for his friend to wake up.
A report in TMZ described the couple's "picture-perfect" relationship as anything but such. It went on to say that the couple's violent tendencies and arguments are known among their friends.
A source revealed to TMZ that one of the main causes of their fights is Gordon's jealousy over his partner's fame as the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and rapper Bobby Brown.
Gordon was adopted by Houston when he was 12 years old, and he felt that he was a biological child of the singer and should deserve the same treatment as Bobbi Kristina, said the source.
The insider also added that Gordon flew into a rage when the two were trying to be part of a reality TV show but had to decline because the offer given to him was different from Bobbi Kristina's.
Gordon has not visited his partner, who is confined at the Emory University Hospital, said The Daily Mail.
Police have already called up Gordon for investigation. However, no official statement has been released regarding his response to being summoned.
