Huawei 4G LTE Smartwatch Leaked? Samsung Gear S Rival Coming at MWC?

There are only a couple of weeks left until the 2015 MWC, or Mobile World Congress, finally kicks off. Avid tech users are now very curious to find out which companies will be present, and what gadgets are they going to launch.

Gizbot is confident that Huawei will be one of the tech brands to showcase its products. Huawei reportedly leaked out two photos to give the public a sneak peek into their alleged smartwatch device. Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei, revealed in a Phone Arena report that their upcoming smartwatch will actually be a stand-alone contraption similar to the Tizen-flavored Samsung Gear S.

Gizbot says that this latest image-leaking move from Huawei was most likely inspired by Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event. GSM Arena says that Huawei released the images on purpose as their way of inviting the people to guess what device they are about to launch. According to the report, one of the images shows the side and part of a strap of the watch.

As reported by another article on Phone Arena, the tag, "Next is Here," can be found on the two images leaked. One of the photos might be hinting that Huawei's special timepiece might be out in Barcelona for the MWC 2015. The teaser featured a rounded design with a star at the end. Rumor has it that this could be the design of the company's smartwatch.

Yu previously mentioned that their smartwatch will definitely outdo the Gear S, and that it will be "innovative and beautiful." In the leaked photo, the 4G LTE logo found on its upper left corner might be indicative of how Huawei is going to outdo the Gear S which reportedly only features 3G connectivity.

The second image is believed to be the Huawei Honor X2, which will also be launched during this year's MWC, according to a separate Phone Arena report. It is a $320 phablet/tablet combination with a seven-inch screen and a 1080 x 1920 resolution. It may also be used for making calls. In addition, the gadget is powered by a Hisilicon Kirin 925 processor, has 3 GB for its RAM, and runs on a 5500mAh battery.

Moreover, Huawei's upcoming wearable device will reporteldy run on Android Wear. Stuff, however, is convinced that Huawei will only be launching one device, the smartwatch, despite releasing two images.
