Fans of Apple's iPhone would now have another thing to look forward to. Reports began circulating that the seventh generation iPhone is going to be packed with a better processor and other amazing features that would make it the best next-gen smartphone to come out to date.
According to The Fuse Joplin, the iPhone 7 is rumored to be outfitted with a faster processor, the A9, which might be supported by an M9 co-processor. Putting the two together would result to a more powerful and faster unit.
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are both carrying A8 processors, the latest in the Apple technology. With the entry of A9, however, it is expected that the device would be 35 percent more efficient with power and 20 percent more powerful than its predecessor.
Ironically, the South Korean tech giant Samsung is the supplier of Apple's A9 processors.
A phone's camera is a huge consideration for selfie addicts, and the iPhone 7 will definitely not disappoint. Reports circulated that the company intends to bring a DSLR quality to the photos taken with the camera by featuring a two-lens system in the unit.
No reports have surfaced on the camera's megapixel. Currently, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus still employ the 8MP camera, which might signal the tech firm to upgrade this feature. Just how far a jump an upgrade would be remains to be seen in the coming months.
Until the launch of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, the Tim Cook-led company has maintained a screen size of 4-inch. The company opted for a bigger screen in its two latest launches, 4.7-in screen for the iPhone 6 and 5.5-in for the 6 Plus.
With the iPhone 7, it is possible that Apple would maintain the 4.7-in screen. According to Macworld, jumping to a 5.5-in screen might be too drastic for users who prefer a smaller and handy device while the 4-in screen might now be too small for the series of activities one could do with this phone.
Meanwhile, the Fuse Joplin speculates that the company would reach a compromise and opt for a 5-in screen for this upcoming unit.
The unit might come in three colors of silver, gold, and slate grey just like it's predecessor.
While no official announcement has come from Apple regarding this device, speculations surfaced that the iPhone 7 might be unveiled on Sept. 8.
According to Master Herald, the Cupertino-based company has launched its smartphone devices every second Tuesday of September, which makes the date a good time to come out with the phone.
