'The Order: 1886' PS4 Review, Gameplay & Trailer: New Gameplay Leaked, RAD Talks Game Duration

"The Order: 1886" is due out on PlayStation 4 at the end of the week. The game developed by Ready At Dawn is one of the most highly anticipated action-shooter games of the year.

Days before the game's release, a full playthrough of "The Order: 1886" was uploaded and shared with the game clocking in at five hours. YouTuber PlayMeThrough uploaded an alleged complete playthrough in a series of videos.

According to Twinfinite, the leaked gameplay took the player approximately 9 hours to beat and treated gamers to beautiful scenes of a would-be London.

In total, the footage totals about five hours of playtime -- including both gameplay and cutscenes.

"The camera is over-the-shoulder with a slight bob, giving a very immediate perspective to the playable character in The Order: 1886. This very cinematic styling of the game is in-line with the developers vision of the game. They are billing The Order: 1886 as a "filmic experience," which is why you won't be playing The Order: 1886 at 60fps on any console," wrote the site.

Previously, Ready At Dawn has already said that higher framerates aren't in sync with the vision of the firm: "We're going for this filmic look, so one thing that we knew immediately was films run at 24 fps. We're gonna run at 30 because 24 fps does not feel good to play. So there's one concession in terms of making it aesthetically pleasing, because it just has to feel good to play. The escapism you get from a cinematic film image is just totally different than what you get from television framing, so that was something we took into consideration."

The leak and time estimate follows an earlier rumor that "The Order: 1886" was only three hours long, reports GameSpot. On Valentine's Day, Ready At Dawn founder and CTO Andrea Pessino has already addressed the five-hour gameplay estimate via Twitter.

Similarly, Ru Weerasuriya, founder, CEO and creative director of Ready at Dawn said last week that the game is impossible to beat in a matter of hours.

"I know there are numbers out there," he said, quoted EuroGamer. "I know why the question comes up. I know numbers have been put out there that are actually not right. It's impossible to finish the game in that time, so we know the numbers are wrong.

He further emphasized that as gamemakers they can't and will not comment on every speculation circulating, "We make games. We do what we do for the players. And, ultimately, that's where I want to leave it."

The game's overview is as follows: "The Order: 1886TM introduces players to a unique vision of Victorian-Era London where Man uses advanced technology to battle a powerful and ancient foe. As Galahad, a member of an elite order of Knights, join a centuries-old war against a powerful threat that will determine the course of history forever in this intense third-person action-adventure shooter, available exclusively on the PlayStation®4 system."
