‘Gotham’ Plot Spoilers: Details on Joker Storyline Leaked by Bruno Heller?

The hit show, “Gotham,” is a dark, offbeat crime procedural created by Bruno Heller. It shows the audience how Jim Gordon, played by Ben McKenzie, works for the Gotham City Police Department (GCPD) and also introduces the “Batman” franchise’s iconic villains way before they realize they are heading for the dark side, says Screen Rant.

The show’s latest episode, titled “The Blind Fortunate Teller,” which was also written by Heller, was the first attempt to delve into the Joker's storyline. The Huffington Post pointed out that despite the maniacal laughter heard after everyone found out that he actually killed his own mother, the audience is still wondering if Cameron Monaghan as Jerome is actually the future Clown Prince of Crime?

The episode also introduced Dick Grayson, or Robin, as it kicked off at a circus where the Flying Graysons are believed to have been employed. In this episode, the most captivating character was Jerome as he pretended to be a lonely, nice orphan boy. However, he suddenly laughs in a true Joker style once the police found out about his true intentions.

Interestingly, in just a span of several minutes in a single scene, Monaghan becomes one of the most attention-catching characters for “Gotham.” Cinema Blend says that this is actually pretty much a huge achievement, especially since the show keeps introducing bad guys here and there.

Classicalite says that Milo Ventimiglia of “Heroes” will be joining the cast of “Gotham” pretty soon. Rumor has it that he will be portraying the role of a playboy villain, named Jason Lennon or Orge. However, the report says that the confirmation of the Joker storyline to begin by the end of the show’s first season, fans are left wondering if Ventimiglia’s character is actually the early Joker, known as Red Hood.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Orge is a serial killer whose modus operandi is “luring women into his web.” He is searching for his one true mate and submits the women he gets into a series of “tests.” The women who fail to meet his standards will be disposed of quite viciously.

It sounds like Orge is not the type of person that the Joker is known for. However, it must be noted that Joker was not always a clown. Although his storyline introduces him as a struggling comic, his scary killer clown look was actually the result of an accident. Orge may still be very well joining “Gotham” as the early Joker, especially since a lot of the show’s fans want to see Ventimiglia’s take on the terrifying clown.
