As the release date for the highly anticipated "GTA 5 Online" looms near, fans could not wait to find out what other things to expect from the new update of their favorite game. One avid fan and player recently shared new characters that would be introduced in the updated game.
According to IB Times, YouTube user DomisLive revealed a leak by popular "GTA" tipster Funmw2 that more people would be directing missions to players aside from the famous Jeff and Lester. It seems that players would now have options to choose which character to lead a heist mission based on their personal preferences.
DomisLive noted that the new characters would be available to players under a hidden actor category and only in certain cut scenes.
Meanwhile, Latin Times reported that the new character models for the "GTA % Online Heists" would feature profiles that used to be only phone contacts in the video game.
The new models revealed by Funmw2 are Trevor, Chef, Eddie Toh, Lester, and Michelle. While it is not yet clear whether these characters would all be playable in the update, it is interesting to note how they would figure into the overall game and its missions.
The character of Trevor Philips is a key protagonist in the popular videogame. The ex-military pilot, Franklin Clinton, and Michael De Santa form the three top characters of the famous single-player game. Hence, Philips would possibly be another key character in the upcoming "GTA 5 Heists Online."
Chef, who cooks meth in Trevor's drug lab according to IGTA5, could be a potential gunman in any planned heist.
Meanwhile, Lester Crest could also finally see some action in the updated video game. Lester is an IT expert with a wide access to different information that could be used for any mission.
Latin Times noted that Lester has often been on the sidelines in the past missions, and Trevor relied to him on the planning aspect. However, the screen shot in the video by DomisLive shows him holding a rifle, which could be interesting as Lester might finally pick up a gun of his own and join the others on the missions.
Eddie Toh was also found on the list of new characters. Toh is a driver for hire and his services could be useful in the heists mission.
The last character mentioned by Funmw2 is Michelle, an FIB agent and the lone woman on the list. The name might be familiar as Michelle was previously introduced on the GTA world as the girlfriend of Niko Bellic in "GTA 4."
"GTA 5 Online" would come out on March 24.
