'Mortal Kombat X' Release Date & Features for PS4, Xbox One: Predator DLC Coming Out? [Rumors]

Fans of "Mortal Kombat" have another surprise waiting for them at the tenth installment of the popular video game. Rumors are circulating that a new character would be introduced to the upcoming "Mortal Kombat X."

According to Game Rant, the new DLC pack arriving on June would include Predator among the playable characters. The arrival of the character with such wide array of weapons and armaments would definitely add excitement to the game.

The game's developer, Nether Realm Studios, has not made any official statement regarding these reports. However, "Mortal Kombat X's" creator Ed Boon hinted of the character's inclusion in the game as early as July 2014.

Boon posted a tweet in response to a fan's query if the said character would be included in the upcoming "Mortal Kombat X."

The creator also uploaded a fan made art of Predator to his Twitter feed in Sept. 2014, which further fanned the flames on the character's imminent inclusion in the video game.

However, it seems that Predator is not the only character fans would be seeing in the upcoming game. Word is out that another character from the movie would be setting foot in "Mortal Kombat X."

VG 24/7 reported that Colonel Al Dillon would join Predator and the other characters in the tenth installment of the popular game. The character was introduced in the original motion picture.

Carl Weathers, who portrayed the character in the movie, is reportedly the basis of the developers for the game character.

However, Game Rant mentioned that Colonel Al Dillon joining the cast of characters is a long shot as there are other military characters already included in the game such as Cassie Cage.

Meanwhile, another report by Game Rant noted that additional characters could emerge in the upcoming game. As Cassie Cage is lined up to come out in this edition, Sonya might join the rest of the gang as well.

A character from Sony's Twisted Metal is also rumored to join the intense cast of characters of "Mortal Kombat X."

According to Game Rant, Boon teased his fans of the probability that Sweet Tooth from the said game would see action in the upcoming game. Should the rumors be true, this would not be the first time that Sweet Tooth crossed over to another universe as the evil clown was also seen in the PlayStation All-Stars game.

"Mortal Kombat X" is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles on April 14, 2015.
