'Sex and The City 3' Film In The Works? Kristin Davis Talks Movie Release [Rumors]

A third installment of "Sex and the City" has been dangled in the public eye for years and in a recent interview, Kristin Davies, 49, talked about everyone's willingness to do the film.

According to Sarah Jessica Parker's (Carrie Bradshaw) co-star in the hit show "Sex and the City," it may be time to see the ladies hit the silver screen again.

"I think we'd all like to do it again," Kristin Davis (via E! Online) said to Vanity Fair and Barneys New York's Oxfam dinner at Chateau Marmont.

She further sealed the deal by exclaiming, "We want to do it!"

The news comes after the massive speculation she and Parker, 49, started last October when they were actively discussing the possibility of a third film.

Last year, in a Twitter exchange with her co-star, SJP hinted that the third film was in the works, recalled Mail Online. The site continued to detail how many fans were left a bit disappointed with the second film, released in 2010, director Michael Patrick King did say earlier that there was "one story left to tell."

Could it be that the delay in the production of "Sex and the City 3" could be chalked up to difficulties in making the arrangements? That seemed to be the case according to Kim Cattrall a few weeks go.

"I take these rumors as terrific compliments but I don't believe they are more than wishful thinking. In all the cases in the previous of two films there was long periods of rumors and speculation and then they happened," said Cattrall to Grazia (via Harper's Bazaar) at the peak of the rumors. "I think it would be a really wonderful reunion. All four of us are so busy and doing our own projects, having children...but when we do get together it feels like no time has passed and we've always had that great chemistry."

It's highly unlikely that two stars would tease fans in such a manner with no possibility of a film happening. Now, with Davies once again showing excitement, it's possible the talks are currently on-going.

"Sex and the City" was a successful TV romantic comedy that aired from 1998 to 2004. The story revolved around the friendship of four New York City ladies, Bradshaw, Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Davies) and Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and their daily lives and experiences as women in the Big Apple.

There have been two films associated with the franchise, namely "Sex and the City (2008)" and "Sex and the City 2 (2010)."
