There may be no Royal Wedding soon for Prince Harry after all. Rumors circulated that the prince has been secretly dating Emma Watson--a report that the actress was quick to deny.
Woman's Day claimed earlier this month that the fourth in line to the British throne was very taken with the actress. It further claimed that the two are already a couple as Prince Harry was very "smitten" with the "Harry Potter" alum.
"After numerous failed relationships, it looks like notorious bachelor Prince Harry has found love with gorgeous 'Harry Potter' star Emma Watson," wrote the magazine.
It also added, "Woman's Day can exclusively reveal the pair are having secret dates with each other and are getting to know each other quite well."
The magazine claimed that an insider close to the couple revealed the details.
However, the actress took to social networking site, Twitter, on Feb. 22 to slam rumors that she has been dating the prince.
Watson first tweeted, "World, remember that little talk we had about not believing everything written in the media?!"
Then she posted another update that said, "Also... marrying a Prince is not a prerequisite for being a Princess," in which she attached a clip of Alfonso Cuaron's "A Little Princess." The video showed a scene from the movie, wherein the lead character Sara told the evil schoolmistress that "all girls are princesses."
While the two have not officially met each other, reports claim that the youngest child of Diana and Prince Charles reached out to the 24-year-old actress via email.
Woman's Day further reported that Prince Harry sent an invitation to Watson to ask her out through email after learning that the actress already split from her rugby player boyfriend, Matthew Janney, said The Daily Mail.
The actress reportedly obliged the invitation and met the Prince along with a group of 12 friends.
According to the source, Prince Harry decided to bring friends to their first "date" as "he didn't want her to feel like she was put on the spot." It further added that the plan was to show her that "he's fun and not stuffy."
The two were said to have been very interested with each other and has been seeing each other clandestinely since then.
The insider also claimed that Prince Harry was so "smitten - and it's more than Emma's looks."
Neither Prince Harry nor anyone from the royal family has made any comment on the issue.
