‘Microsoft Surface Pro 4’ Release Date, Specs & Price: 1 TB Storage Coming for Xbox Games Streaming? [Rumors]

Microsoft has certainly proven that they can tap the market with every Surface Pro tablet they release. With this said, avid Microsoft users are rest assured that the upcoming Surface Pro 4 will not disappoint.

The Fuse Joplin says that the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is one of the most anticipated devices in 2015, especially with its rumored 1 TB storage option perfect for Xbox game streaming. According to the rumor mill, it will be out by the third quarter of this year, while KDramaStars reported that it will be out by July this year.

Someone leaked on 4Chan that the official release date of the much awaited Microsoft Surface Pro 4 will be on July 2015. Based on the tip, the mega tech company is allegedly going to unveil it on the 2015 GDC, or Game Developers Conference.

“Microsoft is looking into putting out the Surface Pro 4 on July 2015,” stated the tipster. “My sources say that Microsoft will reveal it on GDC and they will use that and a gaming PC, plus an Xbox, to show how powerful Windows 10 and DX12 is.”

To date, there has been very little information confirmed regarding the Surface Pro 4. As per the article from The Fuse Joplin, it was confirmed to feature a Type Cover which makes it easily convertible into a laptop, much like its predecessor.

Its actual storage is believed to be similar to the Surface Pro 3, namely, 64, 128, 256, and 512 GB. However, word has been going around that Microsoft might surprise its clients with a new 1 TB storage option to support Xbox game streaming. This new feature will be added to the upcoming Windows 10 OS.

Microsoft hacked a huge discount off the price of the Surface Pro 3 at the Microsoft Store earlier this month. The 64 GB Intel Core i3 model can be purchased for only $699, while the 512 GB Intel Core i7 is priced at $1,849. Latinos Post says that the price cuts could be credited to the imminent arrival of its successor, which is expected to be tagged with a higher price.

According to Gospel Herald, the Surface Pro 4 will be sporting the new Intel Core M Broadwell chip which is a great improvement in terms of both portability and power. It has a fanless operation that gives the unit a much cooler running temperature compared with its predecessor’s Haswell chip.
