‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5 Finale Spoilers: More Characters to Bite the Dust in 90-Minute Episode?

Nearly two years after the zombie outbreak first broke out in “The Walking Dead,” only few nice people are left. Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, and the rest of the gang have been burned too many times that they now distrust anyone who claims to be helpful.

However, the latest series of events seem to indicate that they might soon be facing a reprieve. At the end of the last episode, they decided to follow through with what Aaron, played by Ross Marquand, suggested, which was to head forth for the Alexandria Safe Zone.

This new community plays a very significant part of the show that, according to Entertainment Weekly, “The Walking Dead” Season 5 finale will run for 90 minutes. Screen Rant says that the 90-minute air time will be inclusive of commercial breaks.

The finale episode will air on March 29, 2015 at 9 p.m. on AMC and will be immediately followed by “Talking Dead.” According to “Talking Dead,” they will be “bidding farewell to fallen characters.” However, it remains unclear if they meant having a tribute for the characters who already met their demise, or if to those who will be dying in the show’s Season 5 finale episode.

Comic Book detailed that the upcoming installment on March 1, titled “Remember,” will show how the gang enters the mysterious Alexandria community. As of the moment, the only thing the main characters know about this “safe haven” is what Aaron promised it would be for them – a safe zone. They only have Aaron’s word to go by, which is why they are still pretty cautious about it.

There were different speculations on who will be dying in the upcoming episode. Killing off the show’s main cast is never an impossibility, as evidenced by how Tyreese, played by Chad Coleman, and Beth Greene, played by Emily Kinney, died.

However, if what Design & Trend says is true, then it would appear that at least Rick and Carl Grimes, played by Chandler Riggs, are out of the woods. Rumor has it that Rick and Carl will be meeting some potential love interests in Alexandria. In fact, the casting of Alexandra Breckenridge of “American Horror Story” immediately sparked rumors that she will be the other half of Rick’s love team.

Plus, the Facebook page of The Spoiling Dead Fans stated that Alexandria has “a few kids Carl’s age and a girl that Carl may be interested in.” Carl grew up during the zombie apocalypse and at 14 years old, he may finally get to live a normal teenage life with his first shot at puppy love.
