It seems that HTC is determined to top its latest phone from last year. Reports circulated that the Taiwanese tech company is coming out with the HTC One M9 smartphone that would feature one of the best cameras to come out in the Android market.
According to Christian Post, a series of promotional videos were leaked in the Internet which showed the new device in all its glory. The clips were uploaded by @Upleaks, a renowned tech leaker, on Twitter. The videos have since been taken down.
The new HTC One M9 looked more polished and sleek in one of the clips uploaded. It showed a new metal body with a two-tone finish, making the M9 looked very much like its predecessor, with a lot of new additions, of course.
Another video focused on new features that the new flagship phone would carry including steps to personalize the device and social media notifications through the BlinkFeed system.
However, the video that caught the interest of many viewers was the last one which gave a more detailed look on the HTC One M9's camera.
The new device is rumored to have a 20MP rear camera and a possible 4MP front shooter.
GSM Arena further dissected the camera's specifications and noted that the back cam is not just any 20MP shooter. It used a 20MP Toshiba T4KA7 sensor for sharper photos. It is also inconspicuous with its small size of ½.4-inch in size, said the website.
Meanwhile, Engadget confirmed the 4MP front shooter, but added that it would be UltraPixel which is great for low-light photos and selfies, unlike the front camera of its predecessor.
Aside from the camera, the new HTC One M9 is also outfitted with a BoomSound speaker for an audio experience similar to Dolby surround sound which makes the new phone a complete multimedia system in one small package, noted Master Herald.
An additional feature of the device is a new widget that customizes app display based on the user's location.
There is also a built-in photo editor that would help selfie lovers take their photos to the next level with its new double-exposure effects. The Taiwanese firm also made sharing photos faster with its option to upload the file in "three-finger swipes."
The HTC One M9 is rumored to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The device would be rolled out with the Android 5.0 Lollipop system already.
HTC's new flagship phone would be unveiled on March 1, 2015, which will be before the opening of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
