KD 7 ‘Weatherman’ Release Date, Price & Where to Buy? [Rumors]

The KD 7 "Weatherman," Kevin Durant's latest shoe design for his Nike collection, will be out on March 5, 2015, Thursday in Nike and other selected retail stores. The new pair, priced at US$150, shows off the basketball icon's fascination with meteorology through its unique color way.

His seventh signature shoe design has an Emerald Green upper portion which pays tribute to the green screens used by meteorologists in newsrooms, as per Uproxx. There are interesting graphics on its Hyperposite heel, outsole, and Swoosh branding, which Nike says were inspired by Doppler radars.

The Bright Orange shades on its laces, tongue, sole, branding, and strap further accentuate the look, making the color scheme pop out even more. Plus, Volt is splashed all over the design which further compliments the entire look.

Moreover, it is reported that each color scheme in the KD 7 collection actually depicts a certain story linked to Durant. This weather-themed design was actually revealed last June, and was reportedly inspired by lightning and thunder which were associated with Durant's KD 4 "Weatherman" back in 2011. Plus, KOCO says that the lightning and thunder concept is befitting for the Oklahoma City Thunder star.

Since its predecessor first came out in 2011, fans of the collection have been asking about the release date of yet another addition to Durant's "Weatherman" line. Hence, shoe collectors will be glad to know that Durant's KD7 "Weatherman" is only a few days from being finally available in the market. It appears that this design is a mighty fine addition to the collection, particularly since Slam Online says it "could be one of the best versions yet."

This design is so unique that Kicks on Fire even joked that if Durant was not busy blazing across the hardwood floors, he could definitely be found dishing out weather updates on local news channels.

Although the KD 7 "Weatherman" will not be available until a few days, Latinos Post says that Durant may have given a very small hint about the KD 8.

The need for him to return to the doctor to replace a screw in his foot compelled the OKC coach to keep him on the sidelines for a while. However, Durant still found the enthusiam to joke around.

Sports Illustrated reported that the reigning MVP posted a photo of a walking boot on social media. It was reportedly recommended by his physician to give his injured more support and protection. "Can't wait for the 8s to drop!!" he wrote.
