A five-floor, 19,000-square-foot penthouse north of Madison Square Park in Manhattan, featuring more than 4,500 square feet of outdoor space with a private lap pool and glass-walled hot tub, has hit the market for $98 million, making it one of the priciest condos on the market in New York City.
The price is just under $5,000 per square foot, notes Raphael Sitruk of Keller Williams NYC, who is co-listing the mega-apartment with Efraim Tessler, a member of the family behind Tessler Developments that built the 69-unit, 33-floor building at 172 Madison Ave. The company is also known for its developments at 295 Fifth Avenue, a 1920 structure known as The Textile Building, and the Bryant Park Hotel.
