The former Spelling Manor, custom built for television producer Aaron Spelling and his wife Candy in the late 1980s, has just sold after three years on the market by its most recent owner, Petra Ecclestone, heir to the Bernie Ecclestone and part of the Formula One fortune.
She purchased the 123-room home in 2011 for $85 million in an all cash deal, then splashed out a reported $20 million more to give it a major remodel on the interior. But just a few years later, in 2016, she listed the property for $200 million.
Dubbed "The Manor", it came down in price several times, but yesterday was marked as sold on the Multiple Listing Service at a closing price of $119.7 million.
