Air Jordan 7 Retro 'Barcelona Nights' Release Date, Price & Where to Buy? [Photos]

Fans of the classic and old designs of the Air Jordan sneakers for global sports brand Nike would have a new thing to look forward to. Word is out that Nike is coming out with another colorway for one of its popular shoes as it continues to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Jordan Brand this 2015.

According to the Sole Collector, Nike will unveil the "Barcelona Nights" colorway for the famous Air Jordan VII remastered shoe on March 7. The design took inspiration from the 1992 Olympics held in the Spanish city. It was the year Michael Jordan led the United States basketball team to its gold medal win in the Olympics.

According to Sneaker News, earlier reports of the shoe thought its design would be called "Marvin The Martian" as the color combination showed a nod to Looney Tunes' favorite alien.

However, it was revealed later that the black with green, red and aqua accents is a representation of the zestful nightlife of the Spanish city.

Listed officially under Nike as Black/ Blue Graphite/ Retro/ Infrared 23 color, the new version of the Air Jordan VII boasts of black leather and nubuck material for its base, said Sneaker News.

Aqua, red and green accents are found on the sneaker's tongue as a stitching of the words "Air Jordan" in black thread could be found on the color accents.

The classic "Jumpan" logo remains situated near the heel of the shoe in red-orange stitching while the number "23" is found at the back of both sneakers.

The outsole is also in black with accents of red and aqua on it to add a bit of character in the otherwise dark color theme of the shoe.

Extending the bright colors reminiscent of the nightlife in Barcelona, one could see the merging of the red, green and aqua colors on the under sole of the shoe along with another "Jumpman" logo.

The shoe would drop on select Nike retailers for only one pair per customer. It will be sold for the price of $190. It would also be available in smaller sizes, noted the website. Grade school sizes would be sold at $140 a pair, pre-school sizes for $80 while toddler sizes are worth $60.
