Hollywood actor Leondardo DiCaprio is finally giving others a chance to live like "The Wolf in Wall Street." Word is out that the 40-year old bachelor is renting out one of his lush properties located in Palm Springs to the public while it remains unused.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the property, which sits at the Old Las Palmas neighborhood, was built in 1963. Famous architect Donald Wexler was the man behind the design and architecture of the house that was constructed solely for singer and actress Dinah Shore.
While the entire property itself is around 1.3 acres, the house is made up of 7,022 square-foot of pure luxury. It was acquired by the "Titanic" actor in February 2014 for the price of $5.32 million.
Before it transferred ownership to the actor, the property underwent a huge renovation and overhaul, noted The Daily Mail. It was turned into a modern living space, which is more suitable for the taste of the famous playboy.
The new and upgraded design brought fame to the property and it was tagged as "one of Palm Springs' greatest modern houses."
The modern house has six bedrooms with seven and a half bathrooms. Outfitted all around with glass and windows, the property gets enough sunlight from the Californian sun that makes it a good vacation home.
It has a kitchen in modern design, complete with stainless steel appliances and equipment for the vacationers' baking and cooking preparations.
An outside living area gives a view of the pool for a refreshing retreat during the hot summer afternoon. Aside from the pool, it also has tennis courts and a heated spa to relax after a tiring practice game of tennis.
For music lovers, the place is equipped with a grand piano that could play beautiful music if one gets bored.
Of course, it's not always warm in Palm Springs so for those chilly nights, multiple fireplaces are found in the house to keep the residents cozy and warm.
Should the vacationers include more than one family, the property also has a separate guest house with one bedroom to ensure privacy.
With the beautiful and state-of-the-art facilities found in DiCaprio's home, it is no wonder that renting the place for a night does not come in cheap.
One could avail of all the luxury for $4,500 a night with a minimum of two-night stay stipulated in the contract. The amount covers free Wi-Fi service and daily housekeeping and maid services.
