Travis Scott has recently purchased a Brentwood Mansion, dropping a whopping $23.5 million for the hilltop house, Variety reported.

De Loren & Associates announced last June 12 that they have sold the 16,700-sq ft seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom, 12255 Sky Lane. It was reported to have been sold to Jacques Berman Webster II, popularly known as Travis Scott.

The property offers a panoramic view of Los Angeles and features a curved exterior that resembles a gigantic yacht. The hilltop house was initially offered last summer for $42 million. The asking price was significantly slashed twice before the property landed on Scott's hands, who paid $23.5 million in cash.

The property is very private and is completely invisible from the road. It is situated at the end of a semi-remote cul-de-sac, the report said. It features a Toshi Kawabata designed floor-to-ceiling walnut sculpture and a 12-foot "green wall." The open main level contains a single great room that has a bar, fireplace, a variety of dining and seating areas, and an adjoining kitchen with a decadent black marble and custom Gaggenau appliances.

The lower level is where the recreation and entertainment area is and features a gym, sauna, a 15-seat theater, wet bar area, and temperature-controlled, glass-enclosed wine closet. Meanwhile, the penthouse floor features two junior master suites with dual closets, a spa-style bath, and a balcony that offers stunning views across L.A.

The house also has an outdoor entertainment area with an outdoor kitchen, poolside cabana, a 75-foot infinity pool, and alfresco dining decks. Despite the discount, Variety said that the purchase is still one of the biggest recent deals in luxury real estate in L.A.

In 2019, mass media heir Lachlan Murdoch paid $150 million - roughly 57 percent off the original asking price - for Chartwell, or better known to T.V. viewers as "The Beverly Hillbillies" mansion. The home of Univision founder, the late A. Jerrold Pernchio, was first offered for sale at $350 million, the most expensive residential listing in the U.S. The deal was the biggest home sale of 2019, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Travis Scott is a Houston-born rapper who, at 16, began his music career as a record producer. His first hit single, "Antidote," was released in 2015. His other hits include "Butterfly Effect," "Goosebumps," "Sicko Mode," "Stop Trying to Be God," and "Pick Up the Phone."

According to Forbes, his Astroworld tour grossed $53.5 million in 2019 and became the year's top hip-hop roadshow. For 2020, he was reported to have earned $39.5 million as of June 4, 2020.

His current residence in the Benedict Canyon area of Los Angeles is worth $13.5 million. He co-owns the mansion with ex-girlfriend Kylie Jenner, who has already moved to her Holmby Hills mansion, which according to Dirt, she bought to the tune of $36.5 million. So, it is likely that the duo will unload the L.A. mansion soon.
