According to the New York Post, it is highly rumored that the former Captain America star in 11 Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies have now seemingly abandoned his former home located in Los Angeles.

The said mansion property, costing around $3.52 million when it was originally purchased by Evans in 2013. He seemingly abandoned this property alongside his stint as Captain America in the MCU, which lasted for almost a decade now (which consists of an 11-movie arc).

As for the property in question, it is currently located at 7840 Torreyson Drive, Los Angeles. The known available details for the said property are listed below:

  1. Total size: 4,600 square-foot
  2. Bedrooms: 3 full-size bedrooms
  3. Bathrooms: 4 full-size & 1 half-size bathroom
  4. Originally built: 1940
  5. Renovated by: Stewart-Gulrajani Designs

There are some notable features and design choices for the said mansion, such as the whole mansion property being fully walled up and gated around its premises.

However, it will still provide a nice view of both the city and the valley near the location. Aside from that, the real estate celebrity home also features the following listed below:

  • A heated pool
  • An in-house spa
  • A fire pit
  • Two fireplaces
  • Two master bedrooms
  • A staff room
  • A full gourmet chef's kitchen

Do take note that Evans was able to purchase the mansion 2 years after his first successful movie in the MCU, namely Captain America: The First Avenger (2011), which grossed him a total of $75 million as part of his career in the said movie universe.

Aside from the Los Angeles mansion, Evans also purchased an apartment unit in Boston, which cost him about $1.2 million in total.

Is There a Specific Reason as To Why Chris Evans Seemingly Abandoned His Los Angeles Mansion?

According to PopCulture.com, there is a specific reason as to why Evans did seemingly abandoned the property in question.

Since there is an ongoing pandemic right now around the world, the celebrity chose to instead quarantine himself in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.

He has even admitted in one of his interviews that he prefers staying there instead, as he enjoys his time in his hometown more than in other places.

It may have been a good choice on Evans' part, as the new number of cases of COVID-19 in Los Angeles has been reported to hit the 9,900-mark.

This is just a few cases away from hitting the 10,000-mark for COVID-19 cases in the said city alone. Among that number, it has been reported that new 88 deaths have occurred just as recently on the 18th of January, 2021 alone.

The current number of hospitalizations reported on the same day has been totaled up to 7,328 cases.
