Below are some of the cutting-edge home devices introduced during the recent Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that modern homeowners should soon invest and welcome into their smart homes.
Home Energy Assistant
This home gadget called "Ecojoko" can analyze real-time electricity consumption and provides suggestions to reduce energy waste. The home energy assistant can be easily connected to the general circuit breaker even without an electrician's help. The connected smartphone will then display a list of the device using the electricity, their respective energy consumption, and equivalent bill. Currency, Ecojoko is already available in Europe for 199 euros.
Security Camera with Fog Smoke
This next-level security camera called "FogShield" allows homeowners not only to capture an intruder's face but also prevent from further moving inside the house once detected. Marketed as the "world's first 5G all-in-one intruder prevention solution," this home device is has a smoke diffuser that dispenses mild smoke when an intruder is detected.
Robotic Home Assistant
Samsung Bot Handy is an all-in-one robot home assistant that will serve as an extra hand like a real-life helper around the house. It is built with a mobile pilar with a digital face that has several facial expressions. The Bot Handy can help around the house using its rolling base, arm with clamp hand that can pick up laundry, pour you a drink, or even bust dishes. The front camera allows this home gadget to determine the materials it sees and uses them accordingly. As of writing, Samsung has yet to announce the official release date and price of the said robotic home assistant.
Transparent Smart Bed TV
During the tech convention, LG introduced a leveled-up innovation of the usual Smart TV that most of us are using at home now. LG launched the Transparent OLED Smart Bed TV that is meant to be installed at the foot of your bed. The 55-inch TV has a 40% transparent screen, which could go up and down from its sleek and portable containment unit mounted at the base of the bed. It also features speakers, an all-black secondary screen, which could be placed at the back of the main transparent screen when viewers want to see the full richness and color. Aside from the typical Smart TV feature of mirroring device onto the screen, this transparent smart bed TV features music streaming and weather alerts.
Smart Pillow
Complete your smart bedroom setup with this AirCozy Interactive Smart Pillow that automatically adjusts the height to make it more comfortable for the user during bedtime. The pillow comes with a semi-wearable sensor that allows the device to adapt accordingly.
If you want a next-level smart pillow, the premium version features music streaming via Bluetooth, a timer, and five choices of white noise to help you sleep better. All these functions could be controlled using a remote control.
