After only five months in the real estate market, Matthew Perry just sold his beachfront house in the top celebrity beach spot, Malibu in California.

"Could he be anymore richer?"

The "Friends" alum first listed the luxury beach house in August 2020 for $14.95 million. He had multiple price markdowns before finally closing the deal for $13.1 million. The transaction has yet to appear on online records, but Multiple Listing Service confirmed that the actor's property went into contract last October and closed last Thursday.

The actor famous for his portrayal as Chandler Bing on the hit 90s sitcom also took part in marketing his priced estate by posting photos of his so-called "kick-ass Malibu house" on social media.

"We have a fire pit, the ocean, and we have no idea what to do," Perry wrote on Instagram on May 2020, alongside a photo of his overviewing deck with lots of seating area to relax and take in the beautiful view.

Other Instagram photos featuring the Malibu beach house include baking cookies in the kitchen and complaining about mask-less beachgoers.

According to Architectural Digest, Matthew Perry acquired the Malibu beach house in 2011 for $12 million.

Los Angeles Cottage

According to Variety, before listing his Malibu beach house, Matthew Perry quietly purchased a $6 million Pacific Palisades cottage in Los Angeles.

It looks like the "17 Again" actor decided to downsize to a 2,696-square-feet modern ranch-style home with four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Realtor.com described the property as a "quintessential southern California living" because of its floor-to-ceiling windows that boast the breathtaking Pacific coast view.

The house had a major renovation in 2018 to adopt a contemporary and chic look. It is also modernized through smart features, including an electronic facial recognition entry system.

Matthew Perry's humble abode also features two master's bedroom, a 0.37-acre grassy yard, which includes a fire pit and an elevated pool.

Previous Listing

The Malibu beachfront property is not the first property Matthew Perry has listed. In 2019, he also put his Los Angeles penthouse condo up in the market for a whopping $35 million price tag. After a year in the market, Perry reduced the asking price to $27 million.

The 9,300 square-foot unit also boats a massive master's bedroom, a home theatre, terraces, and a game room.
