Based on the realtor.com listing, the stone castle found in Greenwich, Connecticut, is famous as "Hemlock Castle," thanks to its street address. Architect James C. Green built the 4-acre property in 1913. He constructed it for a descendant of the Revolutionary War general Israel Putnam.
The 20,298 square-foot estate with 11 bedrooms and 12 and a half bathrooms might be over a century old, but its interior features a modern Bridgerton vibe that both millennials and retirees will adore.
Not your stereotype castle

"It's really bright inside. It's got a lot of glass, so it's got the sun in there all the time," the property's co-listing agent Danielle Claroni told realtor.com.

Despite the renovation approval requirements, the listing agents say that the castle doesn't need revamping as it is perfect, especially the outdoor gardens.
"It has really beautiful formal gardens, with a fountain that is really pretty," The trees are amazing. They're all very mature specimen trees that are just gorgeous, so it's really going to look beautiful in the spring and in the summer," Claroni explained.
