Earlier this year, "High School Musical" star Ashley Tisdale puts her 4,214-square-foot property on the market for $5,795 million. According to Variety, the actress acquired the celebrity house for $4.1 million in 2019. It is a 4-bedroom and 2.5 bathroom house located in the star-studded Los Feliz neighborhood.
Roughly three months later, it looks like the actress has picked up a new passion in the middle of a global health crisis.
Apparently, the 35-year-old actress, singer, and dancer recently launched her newest business venture, an interior design company called "Frenshe Interiors." The new enterprise was named after Tisdale's popular lifestyle blog.
In an interview with Architectural Digest, the new mom revealed that her new passion started with a personal home renovation project with her father.
"I got into interior design over the years, working with some amazing people like Jake Arnold and Pierce & Ward," Tisdale said.
"My first home was built from the ground up by my dad, Mike Tisdale, and I think that's when I became super creative with homes," she added.
Even before launching Frenshe Interiors, Tisdale has been sharing photos of her "passion project" since February. One of which is the kitchen renovation, which she worked on alongside her dad, who also owns a construction business.
The Frenshe Style
Unlike other interior designers, the actress-turned-entrepreneur doesn't want to limit herself to one specific style regarding interior designing.
When asked about her style of choice, Tisdale says her style changes over time and depends on the project she is working on.
"I like to let each house speak to me, and I go from there," Tisdale explained.
"I want to let their vision come to life versus my own vision. I do love balancing masculinity with femininity. I don't like to go too far each way," she added.
Meanwhile, Tisdale named Brigette Romanek, Kelly Wearstler, Studio Shamshirim, and Many Graham as some of the designers who inspired her newly discovered passion in designing.
"I love Brigette Romanek-her mix of vintage and modern. Kelly Wearstler-she's amazing with color and bringing the funk. Studio Shamshiri-they are so unique with everything they do. Mandy Graham-her approach to minimalism is sleek and beautiful," the actress explained.
Tisdale also shared that most of her pieces were sourced from her favorite places, including Chairish, 1st Dibs, Dekor, Mehrahban Rugs, Stahl and Band, And Garde shop.
Finding Fulfillment in Interior Design
Tisdale revealed that one of her proudest design moments so far is the kitchen in her former Los Feliz home. The owner of one of her former homes loved the renovation turned out and tapped Tisdale to design her kitchen as well.
For now, her only goal for her new business is to have fun and enjoy her latest passion project.
"This isn't my full-time job. I'm an actress first. I just have a passion for interior design and will continue to help friends and clients when I have the chance. It's really just something I can do that's not in my direct business that's a hobby," Tisdale explained.
