Beyonce To Play Private Rooftop Concert At KODA International District Condo Complex!

KODA Condos
KODA Condos

Was that clickbait? Well, yeah, kind of. But only kind of!

Wait, wait, don't leave! Now hear me out. The internet is a noisy place, and I had to lure you in somehow to tell you about KODA, the amazing new condominium high-rise in the Chinatown-International District.

Allow me to be your own personal virtual guide.

KODA Condos is 17 stories of thoughtfully designed floor plans, with floor-to -ceiling windows, high-end features, and first-class amenities.

Where to begin?

In the words of The Drifter's 1962 R&B hit: "Right smack dab in the middle of town, I found a paradise that's trouble-proof, up on the roof..."

At the apex of these 200 condo units is a luxurious rooftop with stunning panoramic views of downtown Seattle, the Olympic Mountains, Puget Sound, that glaciated icon Mt. Rainer, and yes, Lumen Field. Lumen is home to the Seahawks and is a stage for the world's biggest performers including Taylor Swift this July, Ed Sheeran in August, and BEYONCE'S Renaissance World Tour in September! See? I wasn't completely lying! It was just a subtle tweaking of the fabric of truth. The stadium is only an 8 minute walk away (A little less than 1,000 steps if you need to close your rings. But I'm excited to talk more about walkability in just a few moments.) So, while you're seeking a state of nirvana underneath a smattering of stars in the Zen garden of KODA'S rooftop paradise, the melodic tones of Coldplay (September) and Metallica (August) will flow from Lumen's open dome and ride the ripples of the evening air straight into your waxy ear canals. Pretty nice, right? Of course, the roof also offers luxurious lounging spaces with state-of-the-art audio equipment, allowing you to choose your own tunes when Taylor Swift is out of town. It also features BBQ grills and a cozy fireplace lounge!

So now that we've seen the rooftop of KODA condominiums, the tour continues. Let's hop in the elevator. Do you like food? Well, how about good food? How about freshly cooked food that's conveniently located on the ground floor of your own condo? (Yeah, that's right.) Straight from the shores of Shanghai, Xiong Qi Gong, aka Crazy Monk Hotpot is open! Crazy Monk offers [what I hear are] fresh and succulent meats (Though, I've been to the location and I'm happy to report that Crazy Monk offers some delicious vegan and vegetarian options for me! I recommend the flavorful Tomato soup base)

And if your tooth is more of a sweet tooth, or if you just need something to help you cool down after a steaming pot of veggies, then come grab a boba tea or shaved ice dessert at Meet Fresh Cafe. This authentic Taiwanese dessert shop is opening a brand-new location offering healthy desserts made fresh daily right here in the building!

And that's just INSIDE the KODA. The building is absolutely surrounded by a stunning variety of the most fantastic eateries, coffee shops, and bars. Eastern Cafe is such a hidden gem, and only a stone's throw away. Also be sure to hit up Fuji Bakery for baked goods that rival those of New York. Check out Dim Sum King for your affordable grab-and -go Asian dim sum/breakfast, and ChuMinh Tofu has the best vegan Banh Mi sandwiches! (Wipes drool from the corner of his mouth.)

Oof. I'm starting to feel a bit bloated. What about you? How about we ride the elevator back up to the 7th floor to work off all that food at KODA'S very own fitness center and yoga studio? Here you can get fit and stay healthy with state-of-the-art cardio equipment, a variety of weight-training options, and a spacious, comfortable layout. And then feel free to embark on a journey of mindfulness and serenity at the Yoga + Stretch Studio. Namaste.

Do you have non-human animal children? KODA has a super unique indoor dog lounge and pet run, specifically designed with your fur babies in mind. If you're like me, you detest having to take your dog out for a walk in the ceaseless Seattle rain. The boots, the layers, my raincoat, my dog's raincoat with the annoying zipper (inexplicably designed upside down under my dogs belly making it near impossible to zip), wiping down my dog's paws, legs, and undercarriage when I come back inside. Not to mention that gross wet dog smell, because of course it always rains the day after you just washed them (Speaking of which, yup, the building has an indoor "paw spa" so you can give Fido a bath any time you want without clogging up your own shower drain.) The dog lounge and pet run are a private, indoor space that is perfect for pet owners looking for a safe and convenient place to let their dogs play, exercise, and relieve themselves.

Rooftops with grilling, lounging, and Zen gardens? Amazing restaurants and dessert shops on the ground floor? Indoor pet runs? Fitness and Yoga centers? (And I haven't even mentioned the business center or Club KODA, the building's media room equipped with an 80-inch TV screen for viewing parties, a pool table, shuffleboard and kitchen.) With so many conveniences and such a great sense of community, you'd never even have to leave the building! But with a plethora of exciting things to do and see in the area, we know you'll want to leave sometime. So why not leave in style? And that leads me to perhaps my favorite amenity that KODA offers. Don't have a car? KODA's walkability score is a 98 out of 100. With a multitude of the most amazing restaurants, markets, and specialty shops all outside your door, as well as being located in a central transportation hub complete with a brand-new light rail station (Only 1 block away, with quick and easy access to the Bellevue Square Mall and Microsoft campus), Amtrak station, and plenty of bus stops, who needs to own a car? But that doesn't have to stop you from motoring. KODA offers residents access to a rentable Tesla Model 3! Don't feel like walking? Too much to carry by hand? Just want to cruise the streets and feel the wind in your hair? Reserve the car on our app, unplug, and go in style! How cool is that??

Got questions about where to drive to? KODA even offers 24/7 staffing, with a concierge in the lobby daily from 7 AM to 11 PM.

You can find your own little piece of paradise in KODA's modern and spacious condos with high end luxury finishes, natural hardwood floors, and gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows. Are you an indoor plant person like me? (#PLANTDAD) What a great way to maximize daylight! Especially during those gloomy winter months when daily sunlight is limited. Now you and your swiss cheese plants can soak up all that energy and vitamin D. Oh, shoot. Did I mention the best part? KODA units have AC! While heating comes standard in most Seattle apartment and condominium buildings, cooling is like witnessing the radioactive decay of xenon-124. (The nerdiest way possible to say: VERY RARE.) Anyone who's been living in Seattle for the past few years knows that summers have been very HOT! (capital H, capital O, capital T, exclamation mark.) And they're only going to get hotter. So, say goodbye to those noisy portable cooling units with the plastic hose sticking half out the crack of your open window, and say hello to beautiful digitally controlled central air conditioning in your new home!

As you can see, KODA is a brand-new amenity-packed building with 17 stories of inspired condominiums in a bustling, vibrant, diverse, and growing community. Seattle's exciting future is here, so come check out this affordable gem for yourself. But hurry! At the end of January, 44 units were released with reduced pricing, and as of today only 33 units remain. Find your new home in time to grab a boba tea and some Crazy Monk to go, secure your spot in the Zen garden, sit back and watch Beyonce's private rooftop performance. (Wink!)
