Boxing champ Manny Pacquiao has taken on a massive loss after selling his Los Angeles residence for $2 million, which is half the asking price.

The eight-division world boxing champion bought the LA property in 2009 for $2.17 million. The property, which features five bedrooms and measures 4,200 square feet, was first put up for sale for $2.7 million in 2013 and 2014. It was taken off the market and put up again in October 2021 for $4.5 million.

Over the past two years, the property bounced on and off the market at a variety of price points until it was sold in the final round for $2 million earlier this month, according to Realtor.com. It should be noted that the current median house cost in the Hancock Park neighborhood where the house is located is $2.7 million.

Pacquiao allegedly relisted his Hancock Park home for sale after it was burglarized by unidentified men in January 2019. At the time of the burglary, Pacquiao was in the ring against Adrien Broner. It was never reported what was stolen from the property.

Inside Pacquiao's LA Home

Pacquiao's LA property features ceilings peaking at 22 feet in the home's entryway. The living room features, marble and teak flooring, a fireplace, and a mezzanine level overlooking the main space. The property also features an upscale kitchen with an island made from Caesarstone, appliances by Miele and Bosch, a glass range hood, and a built-in coffee bar.

Outside of the home is a sprawling backyard that includes a swimming pool with a waterfall, a spa, ample green space for gardening, and space for outdoor dining.

Other luxe highlights of the property include a luxury master bedroom with a walk-in closet and a balcony with views of the backyard and the pool. The bathroom connected to the master bedroom also features a bath with a glass shower and a rectangular tub.

Pacquiao's LA property was previously featured in a 2010 episode of "MTV Cribs."

Since retiring from the boxing stage, Pacquiao has won a Senate seat in the Philippines. He also ran for the presidency in 2022 but came in third.
