Jeff Bezos, founder of e-commerce giant Amazon, is being linked to eight properties in Seattle, including five previously unreported homes, according to a news outlet.

Bezos, who announced earlier this year that he is moving to Miami with fiancee Lauren Sanchez, allegedly purchased four previously unreported properties in Hunts Point in 2019 following his highly-publicized divorce from MacKenzie Bezos, his wife of 25 years. These include a waterfront estate featuring 300 feet of coastline and a glass bridge. That estate sold for $37.5 million in April 2019.

Bezos' three other purchases in the neighborhood were modest, with prices ranging between $1.8 million to $3.3 million. The homes were allegedly bought for his staffers to use, according to Business Insider.

In total, Bezos' purchases in Hunts Point is believed to amount to $45 million. The outlet noted that it discovered the four properties after it cross-referenced tax records against addresses associated with Bezos' business ventures and other homes he owns.

Hunts Point is home to the nation's top 1%, including former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, members of the Nordstrom family, and former Costco CEO James Sinegal.

Prior to his 2019 house buying spree, the billionaire already owned a $3.9 million waterfront estate in 2015 that was directly across the street from his $10 million home in Medina. That property, which spans 9,400-square-feet, was also previously unreported and was uncovered by the Puget Sound Business Journal.

How Did the Homes Go Previously Unreported?

All four properties were purchased through trusts and LLCs that mask the owner's identity. However, the property tax bills are sent to a PO box used by Bezos' rocket startup Blue Origin, the Insider said, citing county records.

Broker Rick Moux, who listed one of the Hunts Point properties that Bezos purchased in 2019, told the outlet that he was unaware the LLC involved in the transaction was connected to the Amazon founder.

His Medina property was also purchased through a trust, and has the same property tax address as the properties that Bezos and former wife MacKenzie purchased before their divorce. It is presently unclear whether Bezos gained control of the properties after the divorce or if they went to his ex-wife.
