Being the child of superstar parents pretty much guarantees that you won't have as much privacy as other kids your age but daddy Nick Cannon is here to make the best of it.
While undergoing their divorce, Nick Cannon, 34, and Mariah Carey, 44, have stated that their primary concern is the well-being of their twins and Nick's recent real estate decision proves he's got his kids best interest at heart.
According to a new report by TMZ, the "America's Got Talent" host recent moved into a New Jersey home complete with 2 acres to give his 3-year-olds Monroe and Morocco as much freedom as he can provide -- within his property line, of course.
The site details that the property, located in Saddle River, is one hour outside of the Big Apple and was chosen specifically to protect his young kids from prying eyes. The estate, which is valued at $3 million, has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a private lake and much more.
While he hasn't plopped down the big bucks to officially purchase the home, TMZ details that he's currently paying rent-to-own at $11,000 monthly with an option to buy the property.
Nick, being a man of fashion and style, will be getting help from his mom to put more personality and home-touches to the house.
Cannon-Carey Divorce
It spread like wild-fire in early January that over the December holiday, Cannon quietly filed for divorce from his wife of six years. TMZ (via Glamour Magazine) revealed that while their assets were being settled, one thing is for sure, Nick won't be touching any of the earnings from Mariah's recently announced Las Vegas residency.
Rumors of a troubled marriage surfaced sometime during the summer when the celebrities were spotted without their wedding bands.
In a recent interview, Cannon spoke about how the kids are doing and emphasized his focus on the kids. "Family is the number one priority," quoted E! Online of the host during "America's Got Talent" auditions in New York. "It's always making sure that you make that connection first."
He continued to say, "Just even where I move or the places where my days start has to be starting with the kids first."
Nick's net worth is estimated to be over $20 million.
