The Easter Sunday holiday arrives at the end of the month on March 31, and many stores are opting to close their doors to give their employees time to celebrate.
A slew of retailers have announced plans to shut their doors on Easter Sunday, which means shoppers will need to plan ahead.
Which Stores Are Closed on Easter Sunday?
Costco and Target are among the biggest retailers that will close all of its stores across the United States on March 31. However, both retailers will be open during normal hours on March 30 and Good Friday, per the Irish Star.
Additionally, shopping hubs such as HomeGoods, Lowe's, Macy's, Marshall's, Sam's Club, and TJ Maxx also announced they will be closed for the Easter holiday. That being said, Lowe's will be holding a one-day, online-only sales event for its customers on Easter Sunday, according to The Sun.

Which Stores Are Open on Easter Sunday?
A handful of retailers will remain open on the Easter holiday, including Walmart, which announced it will continue operating its normal hours from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. IKEA and PetCo will also be open on the holiday.
Other stores, such as Home Depot, will remain open but may have varying hours, depending on the location. For instance, select Staples stores will be open from noon to 5 p.m. on Easter Sunday, while its other locations will be closed. Ace Hardware stores are independently owned, which means hours will vary by location.
Most pharmacies, including Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid, will remain open on the day. The same goes for restaurants such as Taco Bell and McDonald's. In addition, Starbucks and Dunkin have announced they will be open for the holiday.
