"Grand Theft Auto 5 Online" is only just about to hit game consoles and the PC and yet many fans are already looking forward to the upcoming "GTA 6." It seems that many are speculating the return of their favorite video game to Vice City in the sixth installment of the franchise.
As Rockstar Games is known for topping its previous projects, fans of the popular game is already going wild thinking what could be expected next in the series.
While not many ideas have been presented for "GTA 6," fans are showing a lot of interest in where the video game would be set next. According to Master Herald, speculations have circulated that the new game's location would go back once again to Vice City.
Other reports have suggested Liberty City, Portland, and Chicago as the next possible locations. However, Vice City remains to be on top of the rumor mill.
The possibility that "GTA 6" would return to Vice City was based on the history of the video games, noted Air Herald. In "GTA 4," the game went back to Liberty City while in "GTA 5" it returned to San Andreas.
Among the locations used in previous games, only Vice City has not been used twice as the game's location so the probability that it would come back in the sixth installment is very high.
But as "GTA 6" is still on paper and is yet to reach the drawing board, a lot of changes and possibilities could still arise from it.
With the excitement that surrounds the idea of the sixth installment, other reports have come out that "GTA 6" would arrive by June next year. However, this rumor has already been denied by Rockstar Games, said The Fuse Joplin.
In fact, if one would base it on the developer's track record, it would seem highly impossible that the "GTA 6" would even be released in 2016.
The company behind the popular video game has been scrambling to get the update to "GTA 5 Online" so that players could finally access the "Heists DLC." The fifth installment of "Grand Theft Auto" arrived to consoles in Nov 2013 and the promised heists gameplay would only be added on March 10, 2015, more than a year since it came out.
Even the PC update is taking a long time and the release date has been moved twice to accommodate the polishing and other revisions being done by developers.
It would seem that "GTA 6" would be available to players by 2017 but it still remains to be confirmed by Rockstar Studios.
