Affordable housing is becoming increasingly difficult to find in the United States, but there are still several cities with a large share of homes under $200,000.

Home prices in the U.S. have increased by more than $400,000 over the last 50 years. In March, national home prices increased by 6.49%, marking the fastest pace of growth recorded since November 2022.

As of April 2024, the median existing home price in the US is $407,600. However, a Realtor.com report released Thursday found cities where there are still plenty of homes under $200,000. The report analyzed listings per city and ranked them by how many still have homes for sale under $200,000.

The report excluded land, mobile homes, and cities with less than 100 listings.
