Microsoft Surface Pro 4 still has no official release date and rumors about the upcoming device just keep leaking to the Internet.
Inquisitr says that the device has been expected to be out in the market sooner, especially since the mega tech company slashed a whopping $100 off the price tag of the Surface Pro 3.
A separate report from Inquisitr has indicated that the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 4 might come head-to-head with the Apple iPad Pro. The report says that the Surface Pro 4 is still being perfected since the company wants the device to run on Microsoft Windows 10, which, sadly, is not even ready for prime time yet. It would seem that if the geniuses at Microsoft do not get their act together, the iPad Pro will just breeze by them.
Bidness, Etc. is convinced that, contrary to what many might think, the iPad Pro is actually more than just an upgrade. “It might be closer to a MacBook Air than the iPad Air 2,” the report reads, adding that “The Apple iPad Pro is expected to be around 12.2 inches, come with more built-in storage, and a 4K display.”
Plus, the iPad Pro is also expected to be the company’s debut device with regards to their decision to shift from ARM-based processors to Intel Core i-series.
Loyal Microsoft users are hopeful that the company gets to release the Surface Pro 4 sooner than later. It has been reported by PC Pro that there will be two editions of the Surface Pro 4 tablet, namely, a 12-inch unit and a 14-inch unit. Both will be powered by an Intel Core M Broadwell chip, and has been rumored to run on Windows 10 OS.
They will both be sporting 2560 x 1440 resolutions, a 16GB RAM, and a native storage capacity of 1 TB, according to The International Business Times.
Microsoft’s biggest tablet is the Surface Pro 3, at 12 inches. Although the upcoming Surface Pro 4 is rumored to come in a 14-inch edition, Christian Today says that the rumor is sketchy, at best, particularly since the Surface Pro 3 has already been established as an all-around tablet.
Brian Hall, the general manager for the company’s Surface line does not seem to want to deviate from the line’s design. Any upcoming accessories “are designed with our product road map in mind and will be compatible with the next generation of the ‘Pro’ line of Surface,” Hall said on Microsoft Surface Blog. “This commitment helps validate an investment in Surface Pro 3 and solidifies Microsoft’s overall commitment to the continued growth of the Surface brand.”
