The one and only Madonna is said to be renovating a new property located in Tel Aviv, Israel.
TMZ has just reported that The Material Girl is working on a two-story penthouse atop a 43-floor skyscraper. However, since the announcement, TMZ has updated that according to a source, the rumors of Madonna having a real estate investment in Israel is completely false.
The earlier report details that the sale, costing the superstar $20 million, marks the end of a two-year wait and the entertainer was just finalizing the details for the customized 12,000 sq. ft. Condo. Some of the best features of the property include a 360-degree view of the Mediterranean, in-door gym, massive living room and a roof-top pool.
With the height and glass-walls, the panoramic view of the city would also allow Madge to see Tel Aviv's beachfront promenade, notes JSpaceNews. She'd have a view of the premiere spot in town filled with tourists, bikers and joggers by day and a busy, bustling night-life in the evening.
Apparently the 56-year-old pop icon isn't the first Hollywood celebrity to set her eyes on Israel, "Keeping Up With The Kardashian" star Scott Disick reportedly invested in a Tel Aviv condo and newly-minted parents Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are said to be house-hunting in the area.
Mail Online reported that Israel has held a special place in Madonna's heart. It was in Tel Aviv where she launched her 2012 MDNA tour and she's made a number of pilgrimages to the country and has been very open about being a long-time practitioner of Kabbalah.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Madonna, a Catholic-born has been rumored to be converting to Judaism. "I don't affiliate myself with any specific group," said the "Like a Virgin" singer to the publication.
"I connect to different ritual aspects of different belief systems, and I see the connecting thread between all religious beliefs. I have not converted to Judaism." She added, "I've studied Kabbalah... for many years, so there are a lot of things I do that one would associate with practising Judaism...So this appears like I'm Jewish, but these rituals are connected to what I describe as the Tree of Life consciousness and have more to do with the idea of being an Israelite, not Jewish."
The development, Meier-on-Rothschild Tower, was first announced in 2013 and is designed by Pritzker prize-winning architect Richard Meier.
