'The Incredibles 2' Cast, Plot, and Release Date: Bob And Helen Say No To Being Superheroes?

Fans anticipating the return of the superhuman family, the Parrs, to the big screen would soon have something to be excited about. Eleven years after they debuted in the successful animated movie, "The Incredibles," word is out that Disney finally decided to come up with a sequel to continue the story of everyone's favorite superhero family.

Ever since the film hit the theaters in 2004, fans have looked forward to the continuation of the Parr family story. However, it took a while for the men behind the film to come up with a sequel.

According to The Christian Times, one reason "The Incredibles 2" took a long time to be planned is the meticulousness of the producers. The people who brought the first film to the big screen wanted to have a very good story to follow through with the success of "The Incredibles."

Brad Bird, who wrote and directed the first movie, has been hard at work for a new storyline since the last film came out.

In 2014, Bird told Inquisitr that he already has numerous ideas on his head but has not found the right one yet.

"I would like to think that I have several good ideas that could be incorporated into a next 'Incredibles,' but I don't have a whole movie yet, and the last thing I want to do is do it just because it would open big, or something like that," said the director.

Bird would once again write and direct the sequel.

While not much is known on the plot for "The Incredibles 2," speculations that the storyline might focus less on "Elastigirl" and 'Mr. Incredible." In fact, it is reported that both Helen and Bob finally said no to the superhero business to focus on their family especially Jack-Jack, who is experiencing problems with his power.

Master Herald reported that one story under consideration is Jack-Jack's "inability to control his powers," which made him an outcast in school. This problem made him somewhat a "villain" in the playground, which subsequently caught the attention of a real "villain."

This villain would reportedly take Jack-Jack under his wing to mentor him on his evil ways.

Disney has yet to announce further details on the movie and until then, these plots remain to be rumors.

"The Incredibles 2" is set to come out on 3-D in 2016, noted Christian Post.
