‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ PS4 Patch & Updates: New Royalty Character Loot Set, Master Prestige Ranks Coming? [Rumors]

Avid fans of the video game "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" would soon be treated to more features and challenges in the game as developers prepare a major upgrade for the first-person shooting game in game consoles.

Players using last-generation consoles such as the PlayStation 3 were able to access the minor patch update for the game in early March, reported IB Times. The patch was in answer to problems of network connection and small UI, among others.

However, although this addressed some minor problems, a major upgrade is still set to arrive for Sony consoles in the coming days. Sledgehammer Games, the developer behind the popular shooting game, posted an update on its Twitter account to inform fans of what's coming.

The company tweeted on March 4, "#AdvanceWarfare Game Update march 3d: PS4/PS3: Pending 1st party approval. ETA: Next week."

Reportedly, the holdup in the release of the huge update is due to the delay of Sony in handing out its approval for the game.

Once approved, the new update would see numerous issues resolved as it is set to fix problems encountered by gamers on AE4 weapons, multiplayer map exploits, and some problems with Emblem.

While the fixes are a great thing for better and seamless gaming experience, perhaps the thing that players are waiting for are the additional features that would be added to the game. These would include weapon balancing, ranked play and "zombie mode improvements," said Inquistr.

A report on Master Herald said the update would see players taking advantage of the full Royalty Character set. This would be unlocked through the update and would add matchmaking and party system refinements.

In addition, the new update would also bring 15 new Master Prestige Ranks on top of the Grand Master Prestige that would see the addition of level progressions in the popular game.

Even the Daily Supply Drop Challenge gets expanded with 15 new ones.

A major aspect of the update is the weapon-balancing capability, which would transform the statistics of numerous guns used in the game. Those who use heavy weapons would now be able to move a bit faster than before, whereas MK14 guns would have lower recoil power.

Meanwhile, ARX160 would have a bigger magazine and AMR9 would be able to fire shots faster. Other weapons would see lesser recoil and more power when shot.
