Forbes reports an updated list of the ranks of the world's richest people based on their net worth. Included in the list is Donald Trump, 68 years old, with a net worth equal to $4.1 billion. Not surprising, considering the riches coming from television and real estate.
Donald Trump, who owns The Trump Organization, invests, operates and develops real estate worldwide, reports The Top Ten Real Estate Deals. He also owns television franchises of Miss USA, Miss Teen USA and Miss Univers Beauty Pageants.
According to Forbes, he is currently at the 405th spot, tied with 12 other businessmen. There are two women in the spot, Miuccia Prada, the 65-year-old owner of the Prada line of fashion in Italy, and Martha Ingram, a 79-year-old from the united States, whose business focuses on books distribution and transportation.
The oldest man in the 405th ranking group is David Consunji, a 93-year-old construction mogul in the Philippines. The youngest at rank 405 is Mark Sheinberg from Canada, with business set on online gambling.
So just how rich is Trump? Rich enough to have several mansions at his disposal.
The billionaire's first ever mansion in Greenwich, Connecticut is still ups for grabs. Unfortunately, the 19,773-square-foot Georgian Colonial-inspired mansion does not belong to him anymore.
The Connecticut property, built in 1939, boasts of classic grandeur. PR Web reported that in 1982, the 5.8-acre property was bought by the "The Donald" -- his famous and instant hit nickname from his former Czech-American wife.
Donald John Trump Sr., who was only 35 years old then, bought the property for $4M, which was already a big amount that time.
He and his wife remained married for 15 years. After their divorce, Ivana got the property in 1991 and sold it for a cool price of $15 million in 1998. Now, it sells for $54M in the market, Curbed notes.
The once nest of "The Donald" and Ivana, still boasts of luxury amenities until today. It has eight bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, tennis courts, putting greens, 3 staffhouses, extremely well-manicured lawns, swimming pool, wooden cabinets, formal dining table with fireplace, majestic chandeliers, double grand staircase, and large areas with wooden flooring.
The property also offers a serene view of aquamarine waters and lots of trees. The estate was also extensively decorated by Ivana, who at that time was also tasked to handle the refurbishing of The Plaza Hotel in Manhattan, stated Curbed.
The glamorous Ivana Trump put some golden leaf decors and other fancy accessories to suit her taste. The next owners reportedly toned it down for more neutral color according to PR Web.
