'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' Plot & News: New Report Says Trailer Not Yet Coming & DC Talks Marvel Rivalry [Rumors]

A year away from the release of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice," there is increasing talk about a possible trailer release soon.

In an earlier report, we noted that trailer sightings have been reported on 4Chan. The first leak, around Christmas, reportedly showed Batman (Ben Affleck) joining the action after being silent quite for some time. Following the events of "Man of Steel" the caped crusader jumps into action after the destruction left by Superman (Henry Cavill) and his enemies, recalls Master Herald.

The other leak was quite recent and sources indicate it features more characters, including other heroes like Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

Warner Bros. has yet to announce a the trailer release date of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" due out in March 25, 2016. For those eager to see the teaser footage, Christian Today analyzes that with a full year to film release, the trailer may not be revealed in the near future.

To hold us over until the trailer does arrive, we can always thank director Zack Snyder who constantly provides teasers over his Twitter account.

Marvel vs DC Comics

Superhero flicks are some of the most popular films being released and Marvel's wildly successful "Avengers" film along with its other titles related to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there is definitely pressure on Warner Bros. to meet the challenge and do the DC comics justice.

Without giving too much away, Warner Bros assures fans the wait will be worth it. Per Variety, chairman-CEO Kevin Tsujihara said the movie worlds are different.

"The key thing is that the movies and the television shows and the games, everything looks very different ...you have to be able to take advantage of the diversity of these characters," said Tsujihara speaking abut possible superhero fatigue from the public.

He says that compared to Marvel's films and strategy, "The worlds of DC are very different," and added, "They're steeped in realism, and they're a little bit edgier than Marvel's movies." He also believes that the characters, especially big names like Batman and Superman don't need introduction and there's a global interest in them.

"The big franchises are becoming more and more valuable," continued Tsujihara. "You don't have to explain to the consumer what a 'Batman v Superman' is."

The cast of the upcoming blockbuster, "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" includes Affleck as Batman, Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams playing Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfed, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Laurence Fishburne as Perry White.
