Jennifer Lawrence may have won the hearts of many fans with her bubbly and funny personality but it seems that not everyone in Hollywood is impressed. Apparently, actress and former model Chloe Sevigny is one of them.
The 40-year-old "Big Love" actress was in an interview for V Magazine when she made a rather strong comment against Lawrence.
According to US Magazine, Sevigny revealed to writer Natasha Stagg that one of her fears in her acting career is that people might "think there's more personality than acting ability."
To which Stagg replied that personality is indeed a major part of being a celebrity in today's standards, and that in fact, the actress is one example of that.
Sevigny was quick to agree with the perception and said, "So much is about marketing and selling the product. They'll have a really peppy funny girl on the talk show rounds, and everybody adores her and loves her and wants to be her or f-k her, and then so many more people want to watch the movie or TV show."
She added, "I understand that star quality, how much value that carries."
The fashion designer went on to name two top stars that she thinks have great personality that translates into their acting.
"I love when a movie star is a great movie star. I think Angelina Jolie is a great movie star. I don't think I can be that, or just be an actor. I don't think I have the charisma. Which is probably why I never reached another level," she said.
The former model also praised Emma Stone. She went on to say that, "Whenever she's herself, she's really cute."
However, while "The Bloodline" actress lauded the two Hollywood actresses for their personalities, she was less than thrilled with the "Hunger Games" lead star, noted E! News.
Sevigny said, "Jennifer Lawrence I find too annoying. Too crass."
The statement came as a surprise as Lawrence is known to have won the hearts of many people because of her personality.
The Oscar winner has yet to offer a reaction to Sevigny's statement.
The actress was interviewed for the magazine as part of her promotion for her upcoming art book-memoir, said Hollywood Life.
Although Sevigny is a known fashion icon, her fame as an actress was firmly established when she was cast in the HBO series "Big Love."
She would star next in the Netflix series, "Bloodline," which would come out in March, reported The Daily Mail.
