'Jurassic World' Trailer, Dinosaurs & Plot: Chris Pratt Returning For Sequels? Film Part of a Trilogy, Says Report [Rumors]

In three months time the world is going to be shown the fourth installment of the "Jurassic Park" series and rumors could indicate that more could be on the way. Titled, "Jurassic World," the film stars Chris Pratt and per sources, there could be two sequels following the highly-anticpated flick making the series a trilogy.

Prior to the release of "Jurassic World," iDigital Times (via Master Herald) shares that its source has revealed plans are underway for the movie's sequel because the movie has been slated as a trilogy.

According to the publication, Pratt, as the star of the movie, would be making it past the first film to be joined by Omar Sy.

"Director Trevorrow also hinted of another character living for another day at the end of 'Jurassic World' and it's no other than French actor Omar Sy who works with Chris Pratt's Owen character as a raptor tamer. Sy has a close relationship with the Velociraptors as their whisperer so he will definitely survive the onslaught of the hybrid dinosaur, known in the movie as Indominus Rex," added Master Herald.

Sequel Hints by Producer

This isn't the first time we've heard about sequel rumors. In an earlier interview, IGN reported that Thomas Tull hinted "Jurassic World" may not be a standalone film.

"The ideas and script that they came up with, and story, are spectacular, so we may spend more than one piece in there," said Tull during the time of the interview. While nothing has been officially confirmed, in the past, movie co-writer and director Colin Trevorrow has admitted that the possibility of future films have been discussed.

What to Expect

Speaking about the film, Trevorrow, as quoted by Empire Online, discussed what fans could expect from the upcoming movie and why we should be excited.

The trailers have indicated that the film will introduce lab-engineered dinosaurs that would bring chaos to the park. "There is no shortage of awesome [real] dinosaurs. We could have populated this entire story with new species that haven't been in any of these movies. But this new creation is what gave me a reason to tell another Jurassic Park story," explained the director.

"We have the most awe-inspiring creatures to ever walk the Earth right in front of us, but for some reason that's not enough. We're always hungry for the next thing, and those who profit from it are always looking to feed that hunger. The focus groups want something bigger than a T-Rex. And that's what they get," he continued.

"Jurassic World" arrives in theaters June 12. Trailers for the film are found below:
