One of the most exciting recent releases the company is its flagship HTC One M9 phone and while its got a number of notable features, another phone by the same firm is also getting a growing amount of attention.
According to China's telecom regulator TENAA (via BGR), a new phone maybe in the works. The HTC One E9 has some features you may want to check out.
HTC One M9
The M9 was unveiled at the during a press conference in Barcelona during this month's Mobile World Congress 2015. The Taiwanese brand has incorporated number of upgrades from its earlier flagship model. According to the round up of TechRadar, the HTC One M9 features a 5-inch 1080 display with measurements that come in at 144.6 x 69.7 x 9.61mm.
Allowing for more power, the battery has been upgraded to 2800 mAh, 20.7MP rear snapper as well as an improved front facing camera for improved selfies and video calls. It has also been boosted with a 3GB of RAM, 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 and brings with it an improved 4K support.
The device comes loaded with the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and its own Sense 7.0 UI interface. Storage-wise users can opt from 32GB or 64GB of internal storage that also offers expandable memory via a microSB slot. The phone comes with connectivity options like dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.1.
The HTC One M9 is set to arrive in stores this month, March 31 and per Beta News is priced at $649 off-contract and contracted phones would probably be $200 cheaper.
HTC One E9
The HTC One E9 has yet to be confirmed but there is a lot of buzz that the phone will be hitting the market. According to CNET, the E9 will be thinner than the M9 and a 5.5-inch screen. Similar to the M9, the rumored smartphone will have a 2,800mAh battery and dimensions of 156.5×76.5x7.54 mm.
If the specs being reported will be what hits the shelves, we will see an E9 that carries Quad HD resolution, (2,560x1,440) and a MediaTek MT6795 octacore processor at 2.0GHz. With regards to other specs, we will see features parallel to the M9 that include 20MP rear camera, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and an Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
According to the leak source, the HTC One E9 could be launched before the end of the month.
Based on the specs outlined, the rumored E9 expected to be announced within the month, about the same time as the release of HTC One M9. With similar specs, the rumored E9 gives the M9 a run for its money. Those who would like a slimmer device with a bigger screen would definitely find the E9 a great option. For everyday users the processor won't really matter as they're pretty much in the same league.
