‘Frozen 2’ Release Date & Plot: Sequel Confirmed, Here is a List of Possible Titles!

Disney just confirmed that “Frozen 2” will be in the works soon. Although the studio was very silent following the months that “Frozen” dominated the animated feature industry with different types of merchandise, sold-out soundtrack albums, two Grammys, a Golden Globe, and two Oscars, many fans knew that a sequel will be coming soon.

It would not have made any sense had the studio decided to forego a sequel to the hit animated film especially after it became a milestone achievement for Disney Animation, according to Screen Rant.

Now that the sequel has officially gotten a green light, fans of the franchise have come up with their own speculations on possible new titles. Some of the titles posted on E! Online could suit the sequel just right, such as “Frozen 2: The Longest Winter,” while others are obviously meant to poke fun at the studio and the movie, such as, “Frozen 2: Who Cares What We Call It, You’ll Totally Still Pay Money to See This.”

Pixar and Disney made the announcement about “Frozen 2” during the studio’s annual shareholders meeting in San Francisco on Thursday.

Fans of the franchise already know that the short animated feature, “Frozen Fever,” will be out alongside the “Cinderella” movie, and that the franchise will be hitting the Broadway stage as well, according to Heavy.

Kristen Bell, the actress who lends her voice to Anna, is also excited about the sequel, according to Perez Hilton. Finally, she has the opportunity to ask her older sister, Elsa, voiced by Idina Menzel, if they can build a snowman again. She recently took to Twitter to tell her fans and followers about her excitement. “Dreams really do come 2!!! #FROZEN2 #itsofficial,” she wrote on her official Twitter page.

Despite all this hype, “Frozen” creators, Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, actually denied that a sequel was going to happen. Apparently, they wanted to be a bit more cautious in handling anything related to the hit animation to avoid tarnishing its image.

“It was really nice to do a short and just get back with these characters whom we love without the pressure of having to do a huge sequel,” Buck told The Huffington Post. “We’re going to take a little bit of a break from the ‘Frozen’ stuff before diving into anything else.”

It would appear that fans have “Frozen Fever” to thank for since it was primarily responsible for the sequel. The chief creative officer of Pixar, John Lasseter, stated that the production team “had so much fun making the short ‘Frozen Fever’ that they were excited to make a sequel.”
