St. Patrick’s Day 2015: 6 Best Irish Pubs in USA

No other place showcases the warmth and friendliness of the Irish better than an Irish pub. However, with St. Patrick’s Day coming next week, those who would want to celebrate the Irish holiday do not necessarily have to fly to Dublin just to experience that kind of authenticity, as confirmed by Business Insider.

There are actually many Irish pubs within the United States, but only several of them are authentic ones that are, according to Yelp user ratings, as collated by Yahoo! Food, highly enjoyable and comfortable.

1. Mr. Dooley’s (77 Broad Street, Boston)

Mr. Dooley’s boasts of friendly, talkative bartenders who get to remember what their guests have first ordered. Apart from the bar’s friendly servers, this particular Irish pub also boasts of pints that have been perfectly poured, as well as top-of-the-line food. Plus, that authentic Irish vibe will never be complete with good Irish music, and Mr. Dooley’s gives the crowd the best live Irish music there is on the street.

2. The Marlay House (426 W. Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur, Atlanta)

This Irish pub is more famous as “A little bit of Dublin in Decatur.” It has more than 20 beers on draft, and is also known for its tasty and traditional Irish treats, such as the Atlantic cod fish and chips. For those who want to get in on the Irish fun but cannot head over to Decatur, The Marlay House also has The Mobile Marlay, which brings and delivers their specialties to different parts of the state.

On St. Patrick’s Day, this pub also has a face painting booth that is perfect for the kids.

3. Brendan Behan Pub (Jamaica Plain, Boston)

This Irish pub is what its locals would refer to as a “talking bar,” says Thrillist. Its entirety features absolutely no televisions, games, or any other items that could potentially distract people from striking conversations with one another. This is considered as one of the best places for those who would want to keep a conversation going, with the pub’s provided low music, while experiencing the Irish feeling.

4. Mac McGee (Decatur, Atlanta)

Mac McGee has a little something extra for those who decided to dress up for St. Patrick’s Day. For any of their guests who dress up like a leprechaun, Jell-O shots will be given, all for free.

5. BD Riley’s (204 East 6th Street, Austin)

The only thing that is not Irish about this pub is its building. However, the rest is as authentically Irish as it gets. Their servers boast of their skills when it comes to pouring the perfect pint. Plus, they also have a long line of different whiskeys behind the bar, with the promise that they will never serve “green beer.”

6. Nallen’s Irish Pub (1429 Market Street, Denver)

The fact that Nallen’s is the leading Irish pub in Denver is not surprising, considering that it is also the oldest. On St. Patrick’s Day, Guinness is priced at only $5.50 a pint, while guests can also munch on the pub’s signature hot corned beef sandwiches.
