'Street Fighter 5' PS4, Xbox One, PC Features: New 'FightStick' Controller To Launch With The Game?

Fans of the famous arcade game, "Street Fighter," would be excited to learn that it will soon arrive to consoles and PCs. Moreover, it appears that the company behind it is determined to bring to the new platform the ultimate fighting experience as it sets out to release "fightsticks" along with the video game.

Reports circulated that interactive gaming firm, Mad Catz, would be involved heavily in the upcoming fifth "Street Fighter" game of Capcom, said Attack of the Fan Boy.

Mad Catz disclosed that they would be working on game controllers for the fighting game, which is expected to give a different kind of playing experience to those used to the old controllers.

"We're expecting to launch a new range of FightPads, FightSticks and Tournament Edition FightSticks just in time for the launch of 'Street Fighter V,'" said the blog.

The game peripherals are part of the three-year partnership Mad Catz signed with Capcom. Other involvement would include the "Capcom Pro Tour" where "Street Fighter" gaming tournaments are held in different locations and dates.

Mad Catz also agreed to be a major sponsor of the event.

The company behind the upcoming game controllers did not mention how the controllers would look like or how it would work in the upcoming game. It is expected that a sneak peek of the said "FightSticks" would be available by the later part of 2015, so fans better be on the lookout.

However, only the PlayStation 4 and PC were confirmed to have the game, noted Master Herald.

The upcoming "fightsticks" is not the first time Mad Catz would be creating the said peripheral for the famous arcade game.

When Capcom released the "Ultra Street Fighter IV," the company also came up with similar "fightsticks" for the gamers used to the arcade sticks that control the game.

According to Game Spot, Mad Catz is confident that their new game controllers would do well in the market when launched.

"More passionate gamers choose our range of fighting game controllers over any other as they demand quality and precision to help provide a winning edge," said Mad Catz.

It added, "We're confident that our new range will continue to establish Mad Catz as category leaders and prove highly popular to established fighting game players and those new to the series."

"Street Fighter 5" is set for a tentative release in the spring of 2016.
