Nike Kyrie 1 'Brotherhood' Release Date, Price & WhereTo Buy?

Ever since global sports brand Nike released its first shoe collaboration with Kyrie Irving in 2014, many fans of the NBA player and his shoes have been in great anticipation of other available designs for the footwear. Hence, the second Kyrie 1 colorway for 2015 is set to be unveiled soon.

Called the Kyrie 1 "Brotherhood," the new design is a tribute to the point guard's collegiate playing years.

According to Sneaker News, the upcoming colorway for the first signature shoe collaboration of the Cleveland Cavaliers player with Nike was inspired by the school colors of his alma mater, Duke University located in North Carolina.

Irving played for the Duke Blue Devils basketball team during his freshmen year in the 2010 - 2011 basketball season of the NCAA. He was doing so great in the first eight games until a severe ligament injury prevented him from continuing in the season.

In spite of his short stint, his time with the team made a huge impression to the basketball star. The camaraderie, teamwork, and lasting relationships he was able to build with his fellow players and coach Mike Krzyzewski are the inspiration for this simple and elegantly-colored shoe.

The new Kyrie 1 "Brotherhood" boasts of all the technology that come with the first signature shoe of the player designed by Leo Chang for Nike.

The sneaker is made of a black mesh upper mixed with touches of royal blue on the side. A royal blue inner lining, heel, and midsole add color to the otherwise somber looking black shoe, said the Nike blog.

A white Nike swoosh is found on each side of the sneaker along with a white outsole. Irving's jersey number, "#2," is found at the back heel of each shoe, while his signature is found at the lining of the tongue.

This colorway for the Kyrie 1 was supposed to be launched at an earlier date. However, due to some undisclosed issues by Nike, its release date was moved to March 21. This would be a universal release for the shoe, so Nike stores, Nike.com, and even retailers that carry the Nike signature brand would only be able to sell this hot item by the said date.

The Kyrie 1 "Brotherhood" would be sold at $110 a pair.
