'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Star NeNe Leakes Buys $2.1M Georgia Mansion

Isn't it amazing how fate can change one's life in an instant. Take NeNe Leakes' case for example.

A few years ago, the star of the hit Bravo reality show "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" and her husband Greg, got an eviction notice which forced them to vacate the Duluth residence, Access Atlanta reported in June 2009.

The notice, which the news outlet cited, revealed that the tenants would move out "because they could no longer afford the house."

However, NeNe gave a different explanation on why they had to leave the house. The Duluth property "was a lease purchase corporate deal with Greg & his company. Things didn't work out between the two of them so they did what they had to do and he did what he had to do," she said, as quoted by Access Atlanta.

Fast Forward to 2015

Now, NeNe is an accomplished woman. She has her own fashion line and a new luxury home, says TMZ.

TMZ reports that NeNe just bought a $2.1M Georgia Mansion and made a downpayment of $750K for it. The Georgia home has an area of 9,511 sq. ft, with 6 bedrooms, 7 baths, and located in a wealthy and gated subdivision, notes TMZ.

NeNe took out a home loan for the remaining $1.32M of the house in February, according to the loan documents which Daily Mail obtained. The news outlet states that the house is still undergoing construction but its current luxurious amenities speak for itself already.

The Georgia mansion is resting on top of a hill with a magnificent view of a golf course. NeNe's home also includes a private swimming pool, a 4-car garage and a wrap-around covered porch. The house also has a library and media room perfect for large family gathering or simple hang-outs, says Daily Mail.

Her kitchen even boasts of ready-to-use new appliances at her convenience and modern marble tops. Another kitchen awaits a guesthouse in her classy Roman-inspired mansion, Daily Mail adds.

With her new home, NeNe would not worry about rental fees, she just needs to take care of a relatively small amount of $192 for her home association dues, Daily Mail continues.

To her fans who loved her frankness and sincerity, it seems like more good things are in store for the 47-year-old actress. According to reports, Nene is being considered to replace Kelly Osbourne's spot on Fashion Police.
