Fans of the video game "Grand Theft Auto" were delighted and relieved to have finally gotten their hands on the long-awaited and much-delayed "Heists DLC." While it seems that "GTA 5" could not get any better than the current update, the developers behind it may just prove everyone wrong.
The dust has barely settled following the arrival of the "Heists DLC" but Rockstar Games just might have another big thing up its sleeve. According to renowned YouTube "GTA" tipster, iCrazyTeddy, the company is now focusing on creating another huge update to add gambling to the popular franchise.
The new upgrade is dubbed, "Casino DLC," and is rumored to weave gambling into the story of the video game, said Latin Times.
The said DLC was initially thought of as part of the game's upgrade to unlock a new location for the players. It was also believed to add more excitement to the already tricky economy in the video game.
iCrazyTeddy was not the only one to believe the "Casino DLC" is coming to the game soon. Another famous leaker, Funmw2, shared on his Twitter page that he discovered codes for the rumored "Casino DLC"
Funmw2 tweeted, "unk_0x68BD42A9("Casino_Game_Info_Decorator", 3); I guess Gambling update might be coming ! This was added with 1.21 changes to some scripts."
His next tweet hinted at the update's possible timeline of hitting game consoles within the next few months.
In a report in iDigitalTimes, the upgrade that would bring the casino is more than just the usual slot machines, roulette, poker, and black jack card game types. This might feature bigger scale gambling such as lottery, horse betting and even car betting.
This is not the first time rumors of the "Casino DLC" surfaced. As early as July 2014, reports circulated that the developers of the video game are bringing that new addition to the "Heists DLC" and many fans expected it last week.
However, it now seems that Rockstar Games has a different plan in mind in terms of putting casinos in play to the franchise.
In 2014, a bug in the game offered players a sneak peek of the unfinished casino interior. A sign that said, "Opening Soon" could be seen inside.
This has been fixed by the developers, and one could perhaps access the casino once Rockstar Games launch the update.
No date on when the "Casino DLC" is expected to hit consoles was provided yet.
