'Final Fantasy 15' PS4, Xbox One Release Date & Trailer: Teaser Video Shows New Combat Styles [Watch]

Ever since the announcement was made that "Final Fantasy XV" is coming soon, fans of the franchise have been in great anticipation of what to expect. To make up for the fan's eagerness in getting their hands on the long awaited game, the developers came up with a demo video that gamers could play to have a taste of the upcoming video game.

Among the things fans have been waiting for is the style of play that would be available to the video game. "Final Fantasy" is known for its turn-based style of game, which was how the creators designed it from the beginning.

However, all those were changed in the upcoming video game. According to Master Herald, Square Enix finally replaced the turn-based gameplays into real-time.

This upgrade to how the characters, such as Noctis, move in the video game was first seen in the demo video, "Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae," that the developers recently released.

From what used to be limited movements, Noctus could now freely roam the area with his friends. In addition, special weapons and modes were added to increase the main character's defense. The special modes could be activated with the purchase of in-game currency, Magic Points.

Aside from the special mode, what got the eyes of fans who first tried the demo video is the addition of a special summon to keep Noctis safe and protect him from his enemies.

A report in Kotaku said that "summons" would now return to the "Final Fantasy XV" as an added gameplay and protection from attacks. To avoid Noctis' death, a player could just activate a special "summon" to protect the character when he "runs out of HP and use against just about any outdoor enemy" and vanquish his enemies.

Another special weapon for the player is his ability to teleport with the mere throwing of a sword for a certain price. Gamers could proceed with tactics and strategy with this weapon in mind.

Initially, not everyone was impressed with demo video and its changes as fans were looking forward to having a taste of their old favorite but with newer and better graphics.

However, some reviews already gave the verdict that the new combat system is actually great and adds a whole new level of gaming experience.

While the demo is yet to run on full HD once completed, the current graphics are already enough to wow fans of the video game, said PlayStation Lifestyle.
