Celebrity Home: Baseball Hall of Fame Pitcher Randy Johnson Sells Dana Point House for $6.25 Million

Less than a year has passed since baseball Hall of Famer Randy Johnson listed his US$25 million worth Arizona mansion for sale, yet another one of his properties went off the market. Word came out that the ex-Major League Baseball pitcher sold his property in Orange County for $6.25 million.

Los Angeles Times said that the baseball legend completed the sale of his former home in Dana Point. The two-storey house was listed in November 2014 and was easily snagged a few weeks after it was placed on the market because of its beautiful features and amenities.

Harcourts Prime Properties handled the contracts and the agent in-charge is Bob Wolff.

Johnson's former house is situated in a cul-de-sac in Ritz Cove, an exclusive gated community at the Monarch Beach. It was built in 1991 and was inspired by the style of architecture found in the Mediterranean area.

The 5,500 square-feet house boasts of stone pillars, intricate window designs, limestone floors, and elaborate double doors. Its design is a seamless flow of the house's interior to its garden's exterior.

It comes with five bedrooms and 3.75 bathrooms. The master suite is a universe of its own with a sitting room and a bathroom that remind one of a luxurious spa complete with a tub. Its owners need not worry about the lack of space in keeping their clothes and things as it is also equipped with a walk-in closer adjacent to the bathroom.

For chilly nights, not one but two fireplaces in the master bedroom would keep the place cozy.

The first floor features a formal living room to receive guests as well as a center-island kitchen and an office paneled in wood.

While the interior itself is already elaborate, what the house has to offer does not stop there. The outdoor area is landscaped and a manicured lawn offers a relaxing scene for the home.

For the warm, sunny weather in Orange County, one could simply jump into the pool to cool off. A circular spa is nearby for those who want to relax solo. Meanwhile, an outdoor kitchen provides the perfect place to have a barbecue and pool party while enjoying the amazing view of the beach.

It was initially sold in 1991 for the price of $2.3 million. Meanwhile, Johnson's other home in Paradise Valley, Arizona is still for sale.
