Popstar Katy Perry has just posted a photo over Instagram that has all her fans riled up. Could it be that the newest photo shared by the "Roar" singer be her way of hinting at a bun in the oven?
In the image, the 30-year-old singer wears a green top and the only part of the star you see is her hand, neck and lips. But what has people talking would be the necklace that the celebrity is wearing.
The necklace says, "Mom" with many wondering if the singer is pregnant.
Recently, the singer has been spotted spending time with on-again-off-again boyfriend John Mayer, 37, which has led many to believe that if the Super Bowl Halftime performer is indeed pregnant, chances are the father would be Mayer.
While the baby news would be the most obvious conclusion, FishWrapper has offered an alternative possibility.The picture that didn't come with a caption could be linked to Perry's fans. The site notes that similar to Lady Gaga, fans refer to the pop star as their "mother."
In addition, could it be a tribute to Katy's mom given that Mother's Day is just around the corner? Regardless, it's all speculation until Katy or John make an announcement.
Couple Ready For a Baby?
When it comes to Perry and Mayer, baby news aren't unheard of. During the couple's relationship in the past, both baby and marriage rumors have surrounded constantly swirled.
The "mom" news comes after last month's report by OK! Magazine that the singers were expecting a child together.
"The buzz in her close group of friends is that she's two months pregnant," wrote the publication based on the information provided by a source close to the "Dark Horse" artist.
With a baby on the way, it's also reported that a wedding may be on the horizon. The report further shared that Mayer and Perry would tie the knot very soon.
"They're getting married in April," announced the source.
Upon finding out Katy was said to be nervous about telling John but when he found out, her beau couldn't be happier. "He adores Katy and has been a mess since their last break up," revealed the insider and continued to say, "He wants to start a family."
"They want to spend their lives together, and it looks like that's exactly what's going to happen."
