iPad Pro, iPad Air Plus & iPhone 6s, iPhone 7 Release Date: iPad Pro & New iPhone Release Confirmed? Out At The Same Time in 2015 [Rumors]

Apple's rumored iPad Pro has been wildly discussed since late last year. Reports have indicated that production of the over-sized tablet has been pushed back repeatedly to make way for the production of the successful iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus line.

Recent reports have indicated that the device will be out sometime in the Fall. Specifically with production set for September, the device should hit the shelves by October 2015.

Bloomberg recently published a report that Apple, which initially planned a first quarter production schedule, has delayed production until September.

With this timeline, we can estimate that based on the typical unveiling done by Apple, the next-generation iPhone -- dubbed as the iPhone 6S or the iPhone 7 -- will be introduced sometime mid September. As the iPad Pro or sometimes referred to as the iPad Air Plus will be beginning production in September, we can expect that both flagship devices will be unveiled at the same time.

iPad Pro Specs

Apple Insider reports that some feature rumored to come with the large tablet include extra chassis to accommodate built-in extra speakers for a more enjoyable viewing experience for users.

Additionally, it's believed that the next-gen iPad may come with a stylus, similar to those offered by its competition as well as 3D graphic support.

The Wall Street Journal, as shared by Science Times, indicates that Apple has been hard at work developing a device that will tempt iPad users as well as rival customers to make a switch to the new device.

There is a lot to look forward to, if reports are accurate. "Apple is working on adding a couple of features to the new iPad such as a range of ports that would be able to support a mouse and a keyboard, so the iPad could be used as a laptop-tablet hybrid (like the Windows Surface Pro). Also a USB 3.0 port to speed up the data transfer. Recent rumors also suggest that Apple is also working on to modify the charging technology to get around the iPad's longer charging time."

Like the massively successful iPhone series, Apple CEO Tim Cook hopes that the enlarged device would boost the sales of the iPad that has been declining in sales for four consecutive quarters.

What are your thoughts on the rumored iPad Pro? With the reported specs mentioned above, would you be interested in upgrading if the device ever hits the shelves?
